With both transportations you can either pay cash or credit.
At the end of your stay you can arrange the shuttle(at least 24 hours in advance)over the phone(or have the hotel do it for you).
Yellow cabs are easier - just flag down one on the street and you are all set.
One thing only - not all yellow cabs accept credit cards( so far may be 80% do) so make sure you ask the taxi dispatcher(at the airport) or the taxi driver(in the city) before you hope on your ride.

Wheel chair assistance
Hi,
My grand parents are flying to JFK next month by Jet Airways from Chennai,India. I have requested for wheel chair assistance for them. My concern is that, do Jet Airways provide wheel chair at JFK or wheel chair assistance is provided by any other agency at JFK airport. I have this doubt to know whether my grand parents needs to pay for the wheel chair assistance.
Can anybody assist..?

Jet Airways contracts a company that provides wheelchair service. For the passengers though that service is FREE(but they can tip the assistant if they are happy with the service).

timing from domestic flight to international
I am arriving in JFK at 2.55pm and need to be on my Istanbul flight at 4.45p. Do I have to travel far between gates? Is it easiest to check or carry on bag.

international connections
I am coming in to JFK from the Turks and Caicos and then straight on to the UK. From the website it seems that JFK does not do airside transfers for direct international transit. Do I really have to go through immigration?

Our party of 4 will be arriving in JFK on Sunday 18th April on VS003 arrival time 13.25 could you please let me know approximate time to clear customs - as we have to arrange a transfer.

Approach Levels?
Planes seem to be much lower than ever over my area (6 miles out of 22 l&r - over Nassau County). What is the minimum altitude allowed? How do I find what level the planes are actually at?
