Hi,
I am travelling from OHIO to CHENNAI.
i would be coming to JFK through a domestic flight (american airlines) and from JFK i would be taking JetAirways to Chennai (India).
Both the flights are in the same terminal - 8.
Do i need to checkout the luggage and checkin again or will the luggage gets automatically transferred at JFK to the JetAirways international flight?
Do i need to go through security checking again?

You can check your bags all the way to your final destination if you desire and yes you will clear security prior to your international flight.
I am arriving from Chennai
I am arriving from Chennai by Jet airways Flight No:226 and I am booked to PHX by Delta Airlines. Jet arrives at Terminal 8 and Delta departs for PHX from terminal 3.Please clarify whether Delta accepts the Checked in baggages at their counter in Terminal 8 or else we have to carry ourselves to terminal 3? We are old and we have 4 checked in baggages .

I see on the Delta site (http://www.delta.com/traveling_checkin/baggage/checked/index.jsp) that your first bag is free when travelling from Europe to the US, but not free for flights within the US.

Since you will arriving from
Since you will arriving from the domestic flight no need to go through immigration or customs. You will clear security again at JFK airport. It is a tight connection and you have a chance to make that connection as long as your first flight from Boston is on time.
Moving between terminals
On a Saturday afternoon, I fly into Terminal 8 and have a 5 hour layover. I would like to go to the Delta lounge in Terminal 3. Do I have to go through security again to change terminals?

On 12 february, I m traveling with AA (BRU - JFK - MIA - GCM) ! I have only 1 h 55 minutes in JFK. Is it enough to catch a connecting flight in JFK into the terminal 8 ? Am I supposed to proceed via the immigration process ?
Can I check in my bags also for the whole trip ?

Your time slot is OK as long as your flight is on time. You will clear immigration and security once you arrive at JFK from Brussels Belgium. Yes you can but you will still pick up the bags to check your bags through Customs.

My girls will be arriving in Terminal 8 from Washington DC and going to Brazil, in Terminal 8, gate 16. Is that too far?

MAA-JFK-DFW Connecting Flights
Hi,
My parents are travelling from Chennai, India to Dallas through Jet Airways flight 9W-226. They arrive JFK at 12.40PM and the connecting flight 1353 is operated by American Airline at 5.00PM. They have to go through immigration and custom.Both arrival and depature terminal is 8. It’s their first time to travel so far and they are not so fluent in English.
Is there any detailed description of how and where to proceed? Thanks!
