My plane will arrive at JFK at 10:00pm on 16/6,what is the safest and the efficient way to go to Broadway hotel(located in 230 west 101 street)as this is my first time to New York and I just travel alone? If I want to book the Super Shuttle Van to the hotel, do I need to book in advance and do subway ,bus or Super shuttle Van operate untill 12:00am( in case the plane delay)?

Even if your flight lands on time there's extra time taxi-ing to the gate, time spent getting off the plane, walking time from gate to ground transportation, waiting for the NYAS shuttle bus and then the ride from JFK to Port Authority which can take up to an hour or more depending on traffic.

Take a taxi, cost will be about $35 + tip and much easier. You could take the subway to Astoria but it would involve at least two transfers along the way; E subway from Jamaica to the #7 at Jackson Hts./Roosevelt Ave. to Queensboro Plaza transfer there to the N or W to Astoria/Ditmars Blvd.

We want to take NJ Transit in New Brunswick to Penn Station NY, then to JFK by shuttle bus. Is there a shuttle bus always running from Penn Station to JFK?
The NYAS bus from Penn
The NYAS bus from Penn Station starts at 7:30am and runs until 7:00pm. There are later evening departures from Grand Central. From Penn Station you can also take LIRR to Jamaica or E subway to Sutphin Blvd/JFK station and Airtrain from there to terminals.
12 hours in JFK

I'm flying with two kids (2 and 5 year old)and will have 12 hours between flights. I have no idea what I'm going to do. Are there any playgrounds or areas for kids??? Last time I was flying we had 45 min between planes.
