Latest TSA Security Directives

There are so many people talking about how those full body scanners are dangerous to health .. I'm entering new york through JFK, so I'd like to know if one of those machines is expecting me on the arrival ? Or is it only for departure flights ? Because I believe they're meant to secure people getting on-board aircrafts .. There's no point of getting exposed to x-ray two times in less than a week (arrival & departure).

Hello dears i Will arribe to JFK at 9:50am on may 25 2011 on delta and take a conection to Seattle at 8:00pm on same day, would be possible and allowed to my to go sightseeing to time square betweent those hours.

Can I bring a bottle with 4 ounces of water and a seperate little thing of the powder formula? I would have to bring two of these for the trip. Is this allowed? or do I need to premix the bottle?

I was wondering about how the taxfree purchase of for example make-up and parfume, when I fly from Sweden will go throw the security when I arrive at JFK and after that will change flight to an other city in the US?

I have been prescribed suboxone, and are traveling with a few business partners that don't need to know what I'm being prescribed. I know by looking at the security guidelines that they require medications to be in a clear ziplock bag. I just don't want to be in line with my colleagues at security and have my business put out. What could I do to maybe keeps this from being a water cooler conversation. Thanks in advance!!!!!

I will be arriving at JFK on an international flight from Africa (Emirates) a little less than 2 hours before my connecting domestic flight (jetBlue) takes off. When I land, do I need to claim my baggage to go through customs, or is there any way it can be transferred directly? I will have to change terminals and go back thorugh security, so I am concerned about the amount of time it will take to claim baggage, go through customs, change terminals, re-check baggage, go through security again, and get to my gate in time for boarding. Any way that the baggage could be transferred directly from Emirates to jetBlue so I didn't have to deal with it when going through customs? In general, should this be enough time for me to get through it all? Thanks!

can you bring a metal ditector?

I walked through the normal X-ray security control at terminal 8. It was written not to go through if X-ray is not suitable, but I noticed it too late. I´m 7 weeks pregnant and I know x-ray is not allowed when being pregnent. So how much is the x-ray when walking through the security control and can it be dangerous for the baby? Thank you for your answer.

We are traveling next month overseas with our 2.5 yo twins. They are very picky about food and we want to bring some yogurts and a couple of bottles of milk on board, so they have at least something to eat during 8 hours flight. Is it even possible to bring yogurts through the security check and how many jars?

When Passenger transfer from Terminal 5 to Terminal 4 take international flight then do they have to go through another round of security check? or they have to exit and go through full check-in procedure.
