Be at the airport around 3:00am-3:30am. Usually is not that busy at that time, but you can always expect surprises on the holiday weekend.

My mom is arriving on April 2nd at 6:45 am (sat) on terminal 3 (international arrival). My understanding is that she has to pass through immigration, customs, and pass through security again to get her connection also on terminal 3.
Questions:
1. Is there one of those areas for connections where she just drops her luggage or she has to go outside on delta check in line and check in all over?
2. This security check is in the same location that people who are coming from outside pass through? Because her connection is at 9:05am and I read somewhere that it takes 60 minutes for people to go through security on JFK. I am afraid i wont be time enough
thanks

1. Yes, once she pass customs there is Delta connecting flights counter where she can do so.
2. No, the security check is ONLY for people arriving on international flights and going to connect to another Delta flight. At that time of the day it should be NO line at that point.

Your mom has plenty of time to make her connection.

Hello, I will arrive at 1:40 pm in JFK and need to catch a connection to Salt Lake City at 3.45 pm. Would that be enough time to do so? Thanks.

Yes, the time should be enough.

Hi
I'm going to China very soon and now I'm looking at some flight tickets. I'm considering flying from Indianapolis to JFK non-stop by Delta, then from JFK to Beijing by Air China. If so, I'm arriving at JFK at 3:05PM and the Air China plane takes off at 4:50 PM. I've never been to JFK before. Is the lay over time enough to make this transfer? I got luggage to check too.
Thank you very much
phil

Hi Phil,
This is kind of cutting very close..You have to be at Air China check in counter at 3:45pm , the latest. Delta may transfer you check-in bags automatically, which will make your task easier. Check with Delta in IND if they will do that. Something else to consider - it is peak period for JFK at that time and you might not deplane very quickly.
I will choose earlier flight from IND, just to be on the safe side...

We are a couple travelling from JFK to Budapest through Frankfurth with Lufthansa on economy class with a 4 months old infant. What is our luggage entitlement?

Every airline has a different criteria. Check with Lufthansa - 1 (800) 645-3880.

I am arriving from Brazil at terminal 3. Then I have to make a connection to Rochester also on terminal 3. Can I walk from international arrivals to departure gates without leaving the security area?
thanks
