Using Air Train- need to travel in MTA train to take Metro North
I need directions to take the Metro North Subway, starting at JFK Airport, NY. I like to take public transportation, like bus to train station, or viceversa. I am arriving in American Airlines terminal from Puerto Rico. In what direction should I walk to start my traveling to CT from JFK using cheapest way of transportation?
re:Using Air Train- need to travel in MTA train to take Metro No
Metro-north departs either from Grand Central(for destinations east of Hudson river) or Penn Station(for destinations west of Hudson river).
- directions to Grand Central:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to Lexington Ave stop. At Lexington Ave stop transfer to subway line 6 going downtown for one stop to Grand Central. Cost-$7.25/passenger.
You can also take express NYAS(New York Airport Service) bus that will take you to Grand Central. The NYAS bus leaves in front of each JFK terminal and costs $15/passenger.
-directiond to Penn Station:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then either:
-take subway line E to Penn Station(total fare - $7.25) or
-take LIRR to Penn Station(faster;total fare ~ $13)

i am arriving at terminal
i am arriving at terminal no. 4 on tuesday will immigration be done at this terminal? do i need to carry my all the luggage(cabin bag and checkin luggage) from terminal 4 to terminal 3?
how to go from jfk terminal 4 to terminal 3?
can i go by walk from terminal 4 to 3?
re: i am arriving at terminal
Yes, immigration and customs will be done at T4.
You can carry your check-in luggage to T3 and recheck it in there or you can recheck it in at Connecting flights counter at T4.
You can take Airtrain on the third floor, on track 2 for one stop to T3.
The distance is walkable and you can walk it from the first floor(5-10 min walk).

Brooklyn to JFK
I am flying out of JFK tomorrow morning. Can anyone tell me the best best subway to take me to Howard Beach for AirTrain? Thanks!
re:Brooklyn to JFK
Subway A is the only one line that will take you to Howard Beach Station - make sure you take subway A bound to Rockaways(not Lefferts one).

Need Help
Can sobody guide me about the best & cheap way to travel from JFK to Cherry Hill NJ?
re:Cherry Hill NJ
Airtrain to Jamaica Station, Subway E to 42nd street, Greyhound bus out of Port Authority Bus Terminal to Philadelphia.
Or you can take Airtrain to Jamaica Station and then take either subway E or LIRR to Penn Station. From there take Amtrak train to Philadelphia.
Cherry Hill is close by Philly - there should be a bus/shuttle/taxi going there.

Which terminal for my flight #2 or #3?
Hi,
Yesterday Delta online emailed me that my flight #6733 to D.C. was terminal 3, Gate 19B. I thought that was strange since when I called they had told me terminal 2. Today when I am flying, I called to check and they told me it is terminal 2, gate 25. What's going on? Can't Delta tell me correctly the first time????
re:Which terminal for my flight #2 or #3?
The airlines(especially the big ones) are changing the gates for their flight very often due to operation needs.
Usually the gate is finalized at the date of departure. Terminal 2 and 3 are connected so it will not take you so much time to go from one to the other.
