Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to 42nd street stop(Times Square). Cost-$7.25/passenger.

Hi,
it'll be my first time in NYC next month and I want to ask how long before my departure (back to Europe, Germany) I have to arrive at the airport. Will at least 3 hours be OK or do I have to spend more time then?

3 hours is OK.At least.

Hi
I just want to know roughly how much a taxi from jfk to 300 plaza drive secaucus,nj 07094 would cost.

thanks

As per http://nyc.taxiwiz.com/ :

"That cab ride would cost about $52.10. That is roughly $60 with a 15% tip. It is about 22.7 miles."

This an estimate for yellow cab ride.

Hi. I have a flight coming into JFK from Spain on Iberia Airlines (T7) that is due to land at 7:10pm and my flight out of JFk is on Delta Airlines (T3) at 9pm. I would like to know if there is enough time difference between the two flights to pass through customs etc, or is it likely I will miss my flight out. The next flight isnt until the following morning at 9am. Also, what would be the faster option: to recheck my bags right in T7 or to take them with to recheck in T3. Delta and Iberia have a baggage agreement, so when I board in Spain I can have my bags checked through to my final destination.
Thanks for your help

You should be fine as long as Iberia is not late.
The faster option is to re-check your bag at T7 - T3 might have long lines at their check-in counters at that time.

Thanks. Is there a chance if we do that [recheck bags at T7] that our bags wont make it in time for the flight? Ive been told that with such a small time period, its safer to just take the bags over to T3 ourselves?

Well, there is a such a possibility(even it is very small). Speak to T7 agents transferring your bags - they will tell you if there is a time for that or not. If they say no, then you can take the bags yourself to T3.

Thank you!

Im traveling to the US from Europe this summer, and on my way back from Atlanta, GA to Europe. I can either choose a 2, 6 or 9 hour layover at JFK, NY. Is it possible to leave the airport for a quick tour of NY, If I choose the 6 or 9 hours layover? Probably 9 hours would be best?

You can go with 6 hours layover but 9 hours is better if you want to see more of New York City. This is a rough breakdown of time intervals :
1 hour-1.5 hours to go to the city, 1 hour-1.5 hours to come back and you have to be back at least 2-3 hours for your flight to Europe. As you see 9 hours layover will give you more time.

I am planning a trip from Boston to Aruba. JetBlue flights transferring through JFK are much less expensive as I have waited until almost the last minute to buy, but I am an inexperienced traveler and have a couple questions.

1.) How long should I allow for a layover taking into account I will be going international out of/in to JFK? I am assuming I will need to switch terminals, etc. There is one flight option that leaves only an hour in between - seems unrealistic.

2.) How will checked baggage transfer work? Am I better off doing it myself or having JetBlue do it? Is it going to be an option? I am concerned about it getting lost.

Thank You.

1.)One hour is really very tight. Choose an option that has at least 2 hours layover time. Especially if you arriving international at JFK - you will need more time in customs and immigration.
2.) It won't be an option if you are traveling the same airline and you are transferring from domestic to international. In that case the airline will do it for you.
When you are transferring from international to domestic then you can transfer it yourself - since you have to pick up your bags and go through US customs.
Some passengers have the same concern about their bags getting lost and transferring on their own is a good way of lowering the chances of the bags being lost. But then you might be facing the long lines at check in counter when trying to re-check your bags in. It is give and take game.
