Hi, I am writing on behalf of Lana Davis. Her husband, Oliver William Davis was flying Delta airlines to Moscow from Seattle with a transfer point in JFK. He was supposed to arrive in Moscow today. We received information that something happened and he was taken to the hospital but we do not know which hospital he was taken to or whom to call to get that information. Can you please help?

Sorry to hear that! If something has happened to him at JFK premises PAPD(Port Authority Police Department) will have knowledge of that . You can reach them at 1 (718) 244-4135. The closest hospital to JFK is Jamaica Hospital. They can be reached at 1 (718) 526-6495 or at http://www.jamaicahospital.org/.

Good luck!!!

Hi:
My son will be flying from Portland, Me to JFK on Jet Blue then transferring to the Alitalia terminal for an international flight. How does he do this? How much time should he schedule in for the transfer?
Thanks.

He should have at least 2 hours time gap for transfer.
Once he lands he should go to the third floor of Terminal 5 and take Airtrain on track 2 then get off at Terminal 1 . The train is free and ride is about 5 minutes.

Hi,
My family and I (4 pax) will arrive to JFK on July 17 @ 4:30PM. My daughter has a conference in DC, while we will wait for her in NYC till July 29.
I have 2 questions:
1- My daughter has a JetBlue flight to DC on Sunday July 18 @ 9:30AM. How early should she be @ the airport, and what is the best way to reach JFK from Manhattan/Brooklin (hotel not yet booked)?
2- What is the best way for us to travel between JFK & NYC on arrival & departure days, and to travel inside NYC during our stay (10 days)?
Thanks and have a nice day.

1.) She should be at least 2-2.5 hours in advance at the airport.
2.) For 4 people you can either get a taxi(yellow cab has flat fare of $50.50 to/from JFK) or take public($7.25/person).
In the city you may find very convenient using public transportation. For 10 days stay you can buy unlimited 14 days metrocard($51.50/person)that gives you unlimited rides on public buses and subway.Or use single ride tickets - single ride on the subway is $2.25/person .

My family and I (4 ppl) are arriving to JFK on July 17 (Saturday) @ 16:30. We will be spending some days in NY, while my eldest daughter leaves us to attend a conference in DC. We will be returning home on July 29.

2- For the rest of us (3 ppl), what is the best way of transport between JFK & NYC on arrival day, and of traveling inside NYC during the next 4 days? (Metro-Pass, etc...)?
Thank you and have a nice day

We are arriving at JFK on a Friday afternoon next month, what is the best way to get from the airport to the Ramada Inn, 161 Lexington Ave? Thanks!!

1.Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat fare of $45 + bridge toll($5.50)
2. Shuttle
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation counter or Welcome Center) that goes to the hotel for $18.50 per person.
3.Public Transportation
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to Lexington Ave stop and transfer to subway line 6 going towards downtown. Get off at 28th street stop.Cost-$7.25.
Walk two blocks north on Park Ave and make right on E30 street. The hotel is 1 block away right after you pass the intersection with Lexington Ave.

I am assuming the cab ride is the shortest but how about in relation to the shuttle? And does the shuttle go both ways? Can we take it back to the airport?

The cab ride will take you between 40 to 50 min. The shuttle may take you from 40 min to 1.5 hrs(the shuttle collects people from different terminals and then drops them off at different destinations/hotels).
The shuttle goes both ways - on your way back give them a call(the phone number is on the reservation ticket) at least 24 hours in advance and they will pick you up from the hotel.
