You should be fine. Recommend you don't take public transportation if you have a lot of baggage, best to take a cab or NYAS bus to/from Port Authority.

Hi, my flight to LA on May 7 leaves at 7 AM. How do I get to JFK from East Rutherford, NJ? How much will it cost? Thanks in advance!

Take NJ Transit train from Rutherford,NJ(with transfer at Secaucus Junction,NJ)to Penn Station in Manhattan. Then take either LIRR or subway E to Sutphin Blvd(Jamaica) and then Airtrain to JFK Terminals.
The cost: $5.25 for NJ transit train + $5.75 off peak for LIRR(or $2.25 for subway) + $5 for Airtrain.

How much will it cost me by cab to go to baltimore, MD and how long it takes to go there?

You don't want to cab it to Baltimore from JFK! It's over 200 miles, very expensive and I doubt you'll find any local cab to take you there anyway. I believe you have three options:
1. Bus: take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station and E subway to 42nd St/Port Authority Bus Terminal ($7.25), or NYAS bus ($15) from JFK to Port Authority and take the bus to Baltimore from there. There are a few different bus lines with varying fares. Depending on traffic it's about 4 hours.
2. Train: Take the NYAS bus, E subway or LIRR to Penn Station and take Amtrak to Baltimore ($40+ depending on when you go). Three hours by train.
3. Air: there are flights from JFK to BWI-Baltimore airport on American and Delta.

Dear JFK_Employee

Re your 4/26/10 directions to the 57th St. stop via MTA from Jamaica Station, would that route be faster than the LIRR from there to Penn. Station, then a subway (or cab) from there to 101 W. 57th St.? What would you estimate that cab ride to cost?

I assume that shuttles take awhile to fill up, then deliver persons to different hotels and that the fastest way, albeit most expensive, would be a cab from JFK to the hotel on a Sunday evening?
TIA,

The option with LIRR will be faster only if one condition is met - you take LIRR to Penn Station right away. At Jamaica station LIRR trains to Penn Station are every 20-30 min.
The cab ride from Penn Station to 101 W57th street will cost you ~$10-$15.
You are right, the shuttles take awhile to fill up and then drop off people to different destinations.
The fastest way is a cab on Sunday evening(and most expensive).

Thank you!

Hi. I need get to Syosset station from JFK airport. How to get there and how it will take. How much is it.

1. There is door-to-door shuttle called Super Shuttle Long Island that will take you there; you can reserve the shuttle at Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) counter. It costs ~$50-$60/person and it will take you there in 45min-1hr.
2. Public Transportation
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take LIRR train to Syosset(Total cost:$5+$6).

Hello,

I have to go on may 7th from 77th street to JFK.
Can I get there by subway/train and how ?

Thanks.

east or west side of Central Park? If east, take the 6 subway from 77th St. to 51st St. and transfer to the Queens bound E to Sutphin Blvd/JFK and then take the Airtrain to your terminal. If west, take the A or C from 81st St. or 72nd St. to 50th St. and transfer to the E.

I was wondering what would the fastest route be to get to JFK. I am leaving Columbus Cicle at 315pm to make a 635pm flight at JFK. Would it be best to take the E to Jamaica then the Airtran? The A to Howard Beach then Airtran? or go down to the LIRR to Jamaica and take the airtran?

Thanks

I think the E would be fastest, less stops than the A and shorter route. You'd also spend more time going to Penn Station to transfer to the LIRR.

Is this where they are entered?
