Price list (as of May 1st,2010) for baggage storage only at the facilities at Terminal 1 and Terminal 4.
The prices are per bag, per 24 hours:
Up to 20" - $4
21" - 24" - $6
25" - 26" - $8
27" - 32" - $11
Other(non standard bags, skis etc) - $16

China Air arrives at T1. Use the luggage storage at T1(since you will be there in normal business hours). Delta is just next door - T2. T1 will have no problem storing surfboard.

The nearest one is at T4 . It will take you 10-15 min to get there.

I am taking a flight with
I am taking a flight with JetBlue to JFK on one ticket and then taking SwissAir from JFK on another ticket. We are arriving around 8am and cannot pick up our ticket for our second flight until 2pm (we are flying as members of a group). We would like to spend the day in NYC and then return to JFK for our second flight but we do not know what to do with our luggage. We have contacted JetBlue and they do not have a partnership with SwissAir where they can transfer our luggage. This means we have to leave the security area to retrieve our luggage and cannot recheck into the security area until 2pm when we have our tickets. My question is, is there any place we would be able to store our luggage as we will not be able to get back into the secured area?

You can store the bags at T4 storage facility. It is located before security, on the first floor, next to the Hotel Reservation desk. The prices are quoted in the beginning of this page.

I’m arriving at Terminal 3 and going to take an AirTrain to Jamaica. What is the most convenient place to store my carry-on?
How much time should I plan for it (to get to the locker and drop my bag)? – I have quite limited time.

Luggage Storage at JFK
Arriving on Thursday morning from Las Vegas on Delta. Departing 14 hours later on Delta to Cairo.
Planning to spend the day in Manhattan. Which terminal will be most convenient for luggage storage? We will have 4 medium size duffel bags. What is approximate cost?

Terminal 4 . The cost depends on the size of the bags. For medium size - ~$8/bag.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Hi! Im traveling this Thursday from SD to NY by DELTA AIR LINES arriving at 7am and leaving to Paris at 7pm, want to store a small luggage, Terminal 4 is open 24/7, is it better even though I think DELTA arrives at Terminal 2?
Also please help! What is the fastest and cheapest way to Manhattan? I want to arrive at Times Square and leave from Times Square too. And what time do you recommend I get back to airport? Thanks so much!

If you arrive at Terminal 2 then the closest baggage storage facility is at Terminal 1. The hours of operation are 7am till 11 pm . It is only 5 min walking distance between T1 and T2.
To Times Square you can take NYAS express bus that stops in front of each terminal. It takes roughly 1 hour for the bus in either direction. Make sure on your way back you are at JFK at least 2 hours prior to departure time.

hi, we are attending to go
hi, we are attending to go to mexico. we want to store one of our luggages in JFK. we're gon'a leave from terminal 8, and suppose to land back 10 days later on 9:30PM at T8 - 2 hours later we have aflight to Israel from T4, where will be the best to store our luggage? (since our landing time is very close to the closing time of the storage room on terminal 8...) and how far is T8 from T4?

Store your bags at T4 - the facility there is open 24/7. Even if your flight is delayed you won't have problems retrieving your bags.
T4 is 10 min away via Airtrain from T8.
