Thank you!

Hi there, could you please give me some guidance. We are flying from CPT, Sout Africa via DBX to JFK on Sunday the 13th of June. Our arrival time is 14h15. I have found a connecting flight to Miami at 16h30 on Delta Airlines. Would it in your opinion be enough time or is it preferable to take a 18h30 flight which the only next available flight? And which is the quickest way to get to Delta. Your advise would be greatly appreciated with 4 children in tow i would prefer to minimise waiting time at an airport after 23 hours of travel.
Regards,

Lacasabella

Which Airline are coming on from DBX? I guess it would be Emirates which will land you at T4. Take Airtrain on the third floor of T4 on track 2 for one stop to T3.
Since you will be clearing customs at the busiest time you can play safer with the later 1830 flight.

Will immigration control be done at JFK or YYZ?
Which terminal(s) will I arrive at and depart from? Flight from JFK to YYZ is operated by COMAIR.
Is 1.25 hrs enough for the connection?

Thanks

Immigration will be done at JFK.
You will be arriving at Terminal 3 and depart out of Terminal 2. The time is enough to transfer.

Hi, my wife and I’m hoping to arrive JFK international terminal 8 on 5th August at 12:15 and then have to catch the American Eagle flying to St. Louis by 15:35 (Terminal 8). We both have F1 VISA and this is the first time we are flying to US. We are coming through Jet Airways from Chennai. Please tell us the step by step process that we have to follow from immigration clearance to connecting AA4383 to STL. Will the time be enough for us to go through all the processes?

Did JFK airport have clinique shop?

Hi i'll be arriving at J.F.K. with my wife and son in Octoberat about 9:00p.m..We will be staying at the Comfort Inn on West 35th street.Whats the best way to get there from the airport .Thanks

Here are some of the options that you have in this case:
1. Taxi
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.

2. Public
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to 34th street stop. Cost-$7.25/passenger.
Walk east on 34th street two blocks and make left on 6th Ave , walk a block then make right on 35th street. The hotel is half block away.

3. Shuttle
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation
counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any hotel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person.

Thank you for all the information provided on this website. I am flying IAD into LGA then transfering to JFK for a Cathay Pacific (Terminal 7) flight to China with 2 hrs. 40 min between (if both on schedule). I'm not sure whether I'll be able to check bags through or will have to claim and re-check. Am planning to take the NY Airport Service shuttle. Does this sound feasible? Any suggestions appreciated.

You have to claim your bags and re-check it again at JFK. NYAS is a good choice - you have time to transfer.
Bear in mind that the last NYAS shuttle is around 7pm-8pm.

Hi,

I'll be travelling to New York from Ireland landing in terminal 4 and connecting with a Sky Blue flight to Orlando out of terminal 5. I have 2 questions:-

Will I have to clear my bags through customs at JFK and if so how do I get them checked back in for the Orlando flight?
Is the airtrain the best method of transferring from 4 to 5?

Thanks

Joe
