There's no direct bus
There's no direct bus service from JFK, you'd have to go to Port Authority Bus Terminal. The Metro North-Port Jervis line train from Penn Station stops at Salisbury Mills/Cornwall or the Hudson line train from Grand Central to Beacon, these are the closest stations to the Newburgh/New Windsor area. Beacon is across the river from Newburgh and New Windsor is just south of Newburgh. NYAS has frequent express bus service from all terminals to Port Authority, Grand Central and Penn Station. These are also accessable by subway.

I arrive at the Terminal 1 at 5:00pm (Aeroflot), connection flight is at 6:40pm from the Terminal 7. From your experince, how long does it usually take to get T7 from T1 (taking into account time for the border/custom checking, getting luggage, transfer, check-in at T7)?

• By Train
Take the PATH train from Manhattan (33rd St. & 6th Ave., near Penn Station) to Jersey City or Hoboken. Outside the PATH Station, take the NJ Hudson-Bergen Light Rail train to Bayonne. Get off at the 34th Street Station in Bayonne. You are now directly across Route 440 from The Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, which includes the Cape Liberty Cruise Port. Call one of the three Bayonne cab companies to drive you to the cruise port, which is about two miles east of the Light Rail line.
• By Bus
From the Port Authority Bus Terminal, take the 99S bus to Bayonne. The 99S bus travels along Kennedy Boulevard into Bayonne and stops on request every three blocks. When you reach 33rd Street and Kennedy Boulevard in Bayonne, you will be at the closest point on the bus route to the cruise port. Call one of the three Bayonne cab companies to drive you to the cruise port, which is about three miles east of Kennedy Boulevard.
For the above you will need to get to either Port Authority Bus Terminal or Penn Station, takes about one hour by public transportation (Airtrain to Jamaica Station and E subway to either location) or NYAS express bus (bus to either location leaves from each terminal every 20-30 minutes) and then another hour to the port.
Taxi will take over one hour and cost close to $100.

Hi, I am a frequent flyer to JFK (3-4 times a year). I always seem to be pulled up for secondary checks, which wastes around an hour of my time. Is there anything I can do, such as provide some information before hand, to avoid these secondary checks? -thanks.
