Can you please tell me how to travel by using the air train (I presume it's the most efficient) from JFK to the nearest station to "the Paramount" hotel,235 West 46th street at 8th, NY ?

Thank you.

Take the air train to Jamaica station, transfer to the E train westbound to Manhattan. The 50th street or 42nd street stops will take you close to your hotel.

From terminal take Airtrain on track 1 to Jamaica Station. Transfer there to E subway, get off at 50th St. and walk south on 8th Ave. to 46th St.

How do we travel most convinient from Washinthon DC to JFK?
We prefer direct trains ?

thank you in advance from Danish family

Take Amtrak from DC to Penn Station in Manhattan. Then take LIRR train to Jamaica station. There, transfer to Airtrain which will take you to JFK terminals.

Take Amtrak (Northeast Regional is slower and cheaper than Acela) from Union Station-DC to Penn Station-NY. At Penn Station transfer to the Long Island Railroad to Jamaica station, then transfer to Airtrain which will take you to all JFK terminals.

We 3 females will be arriving in JFK on Oct 14 from Scotland. Our hotel is Quinta Inn At Secuacus. What would be the easiest/cheapest/most convenient way to get there. I was told that the AirTrain could take us to Penn Station, New Jersey, but I need confirmation/hepl!

You will take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station. Transfer to Long Island RR to Penn Station (a bit more $ than subway but faster and the trains have overhead luggage racks). At Penn Station take any NJ Transit train to Secaucus, next stop after Penn Station.

Hi, it's my first time in NY and my flight comes in late, after 11PM. I plan on taking the AirTrain to Howard Beach Station and then take transit A subway all the way to Manhattan. My friend recommended a taxi but the subway is a lot cheaper. I will be carrying luggage, not much though. Will I pass through any dangerous areas of New York? Should I opt out of the subway and take a taxi? Are there any subways/transits I want to stay away from?

I would not advise you to take subway after midnight, but if you prefer to do so , choose subway E out of Jamaica Station - it is much safer.

We are arriving at terminal 1 in Oct 29th at 2.30 PM. Our next flight goes from terminal 5 at 8.30 PM. Is there enough time to take a subway to Manhattan and visit for example Empire State Building?

You will be out of immigration/customs at around 3-3:30 pm ; give it an hour on average to the city(on taxi or express bus;1.5hrs for the subway). You will have to take back transportation at 5-5:30pm in order to be 2 hours before your next flight.
After all , you will have half an hour to an hour in the city, which is not enough for any sightseeing.

Which route do I have to take from JFK to arrive 33rd street Lexington (Manhatten)? Thank you!

Airtrain to Jamaica Station then subway E to Lexington Ave/53rd street stop. After that transfer to downtown bound subway 6 for two stops to 33rd street.
