Just called them at 7:51 am today (Tues). The system will not be running today. There may be limited shuttles running from Leffierts (sp?) Blvd if you take subway there from the city, but the shuttles are not frequent and there may be long lines. It is also supposed to be hard to get a cab from any of the subway endpoints near JFK to the airport. The guy at Airtrain suggested taking a cab in from the city.

More to the point, will it be running tomorrow? is there a phone number or website I can access to figure this out?

Ditto. I see a response below that the Jamaica to JFK airtrain is open again. Could anyone else confirm this? Or could you leave and airtrain contact phone #...Thanks.

I just called the AirTrain and was told that the service has not been restored. When? No one knows.

The Airtrain is still out of service!

we just called 1-877-JFK-AIRTrain (535/2478) at 11 p.m. and were told that for the moment there's no service and they don't know when it will resume.

Is anyone flying on Etihad or have any info when the flight will leave today. Anyone at JFK that can check the screens to see if anything shows there? Supposed to leave at 9:45pm tonight.

tonight's ethiad flight 100 is now scheduled fro a 3am departure. i called the airline to get this info.. but i still don't know how to get to jfk!

My wife and I will be taking the "A" train from 42nd. It should take aout an hour I have been told. As far as I can see from the last update on mta.info. This is still running.

Is the Airtrain still not runing?

Is there a place on the internet to get service updates on the AirTrain? Hard to tell whether it is running or not? Trying to plot a path to JFK (from NJ via Penn Station) this evening for late PM departure and hoping for any insight about AirTrain connection to NY Subway.

thanks!
Kevin

AirTrain from Jamaica Station is running now.

I understand that AirTrain closed because of snow late this afternoon. Does anyone know when it is scheduled to open again? Or taxis, or busses, or car services, or any way to leave the airport?

The web suggests only routine delays due to service and maintenance for yesterday which certainly was not the case; no one was doing maintenance in the blizzard.
