JFK International Airport AirTrain

AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK

next to the Sutphin Boulevard/Archer Avenue-JFK subway station (to Brooklyn

Transfer between the terminals is only a few minutes by airtrain. If you're transferring from an international flight to a domestic flight, you'll have to pick up your bags, take them to the other terminal and recheck them there. Even so, 3 hours should be sufficient. The difference between the transfer to terminal 8 or to terminal 3 from terminal 7 is literally 2-3 minutes.

It's 8:18 am Wednesday, Dec. 28th. Does anyone know if service has been restored at Jamaica to the air train yet?

It's 9:46 pm Tuesday, Dec. 28th. Does anyone know if service has been restored at Jamaica to the air train yet?

I have only 2 hours to check in for the international flight. I am arriving from SFO to the terminal 9 and leaving from terminal 1 two hours later.
Thank you for your help.

Does anyone know if airtrain is running?

No airtrains working tuesday afternoon! Just one shuttle bus every now and then. long lines at jamaica st and no info.

I cant figure out how to post a comment so I've done it this way as a reply.

Anyone have current info on the status of the Airtrain? Can anyone give me a phone number to call? There seems no way to get info.

Thanks

I'm supposed to be at JFK at 1500 anyone knows what's the best way?I understand airtrain is out of order

JFK AIRTRAIN IS BROKEN - FIND AN ALTERNATIVE WAY TO YOUR TERMINAL! THERE'S A HUUUUUUUUUGE LINE AT JAMAICA STATION AND ONLY ONE BUS TAKING PASSENGERS TO TERMINALS EVERY HALF AN HOUR. NO JFK OFFICIALS TELLING OR HELPING PASSENGERS THERE.

makes me wonder why the alternative system is so poorly organized and poorly informed? now i heard that the bus where my friend is, failed to take them to the terminal and now they are lining for another bus!!!?????

Does anyone know if the Air Train is running yet today? It was closed all day yesterday...

No, still out of service as of Tuesday 11:30am. Free shuttle buses are running between terminals, Howard Beach and Jamaica Stations.

Hey,

I arrive at Terminal 7 through CX at 13:10 from Hong Kong.

There are Amtrak trains that depart at 15:13 and 17:17.

I plan to take the AirTrain to Jamaica and take the LIRR to Penn Station. Would I be able to make the journey in time for the first train? Or should I leave a bit of time for the later departure.

About how long would it take to clear immigration?

Is there an Air Train schedule?

Thanks!

AirTrain is still out of service today. Shuttle buses are running between all terminals, Howard Beach and Jamaica Stations but allow plenty of time for this. LIRR has sporadic departures from Jamaica to Penn Station as only four of their ten branches are in operation, but the E subway is running. Amtrak is still having delays on trains to Boston and DC. Leave yourself plenty of time for any travel related activities today!!

The delays have been significant, give yourself as much time as possible to allow for any problems.
