There are 8 operating airline terminals At JFK Airport, Terminals 1 to 8. Terminals are located around the central terminal area (CTA). The terminals and parking lots in the central terminal area are divided into five areas.

Is departures on the same level as arrivals for Delta at JFK?

No, at none of their terminals.

I"m trying to decide between two separate flights. One has a connection time of 1:57 hours, so I'm not worried about that. But the other is Delta Flight 5094, and the connection flight is Delta flight 2294, the connection time is 38 min. Will this be enough time, or should I book the flight with the longer connection time?

Hi!
I´m planning to book a flight that arrives 3.50PM at JFK from Europe and then a separate flight to San Fransisco which leaves at 7.30 PM. Both flights are operated by American Airlines. Do you think that I have the time to make the change? I know that 3h 40 minutes is normally enough but just asking because of the customs and rechecking the luggage.

My sister is flying from Spain to Toronto through a connection at JFK. She will be arriving on T7 and have 2 hrs to go to T8 to get the other plane.

Q: Is it 2 hrs enough ?
Does she has to checking throught customs to move between T7 to T8?

Hi,
My sister-in-law ( she is not a senior so airline doesn't help) is coming into JFK from Moscow. She does not speak any English (Russian only). Does a service exist to hire that meets a person just outside of customs holding a sign with their name on it and then help them transfer terminals, and check into Jetblue with their luggage ? It saves me from needing to fly from Rochester to JFK just to help her. Tried googling, but my keywords must not have the correct lingo.

She does not have to look for them at JFK - all you have to do is just email them with the details of the flight and the person arriving and they will do their best to help her.

I have a question. If a passenger fails to make a connecting flight is the airline obligated to get him or her a new airplane ticket. If the flight is not on time and connecting time frame is tight what happens next?

It depends how the two flights are booked. If they are booked on one ticket then the first airline is responsible to rebook(at no cost) the passenger for the second flight. If the flights are booked on separate tickets then the passenger is responsible for rescheduling his second flight(which most of the times involves rescheduling fees).

I will arrive from SAT (San Antonio) on Delta 1246 @ 1:04 PM and depart on Air Lingus E1110 @ 6:30 PM March 27.
Questions:
1. What terminal services the Delta flight arrival?
2. What terminal services the Air Lingus departure?
3. Will I have enough time to change flights? 5 1/2 hours
4. Do I check my bags directly from SAT to Shannon or do I pick them up and recheck them at JFK?

I return from Shannon on Air Lingus April 3 arriving @ 3:35 PM and depart JFK on Delta @ 810 PM.
Questions:
1. Will I have enough time to go through customs and change planes? 4 1/2 hours
2. Can I recheck bags immediately upon leaving customs or do I go to Delta terminal check-in and recheck bags?
3. What is the method of transportation from terminal to terminal?
