JFK International Airport AirTrain

AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK
International Airport, Long Island Rail Road trains and New York City Subway.
It also serves as an on-airport service connecting the airline terminals, rental
car facilities, hotel shuttles, and airport parking lots.

Air Train JFK has
3 routes:

  • Howard Beach route

The Howard Beach route ends at the Howard Beach-JFK subway station. It stops
at Lefferts Boulevard (connecting transit services - B15 bus) for shuttle buses
to long term parking lots A and B and to airport employee parking.

Connecting transit services: A subway train, Q11 bus

  • Jamaica Station route

The Jamaica route ends at Jamaica Station on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)
next to the Sutphin Boulevard/Archer Avenue-JFK subway station (to Brooklyn
and Manhattan or Queens).

Connecting transit services: E, J and Z subway
trains, Q6, Q8, Q9, Q20A, Q20B, Q25/Q34, Q30, Q31, Q40, Q43, Q44, Q60  and
Q65 buses

Both routes make a counterclockwise loop through the airport and stop at each
terminal.

  • Airline Terminal route

The Airline Terminal route connects 6 terminal stations (Terminal 1, 2-3,
4, 5-6, 7 and 8-9). Route operates in the opposite direction, making a clockwise
loop.
All JFK AirTrain stations are wheelchair accessible. Howard Beach subway and
Jamaica Long Island Railroad stations are wheelchair accessible too.

  • Fare of 5$ at Howard Beach or Jamaica Station
  • Rides between all other JFK AirTrain stations are free

Can I get from terminal 4 jfk to near Hotel Wolcott 4 west 31st street without changing trains? and what is cost please? arrival time at JFK 1600 hrs on a Friday. Is Suitcase on Air Train OK.jr

i would be arriving on terminal 8 and have an interconnection of delta from terminal 3. i would be loaded with luggage. could you tell me how do i commute in a time effective manner. JFK ARRIVAL 1240 terminal 8
JFK DEPARTURE 1530 terminal 3

Rent a luggage cart at T8, go to AirTrain and take train on track 2 to T3. You can take a luggage cart on AirTrain, travel time around 5-7 minutes.

Hi, I am flying in from JFK at 21:00 on 3/14/12. I need to get to Quality Inn Woodside Queens Hotel, 5305 Queens Boulevard. What would be the easiest and cheapest way to get there from JFK International Airport? Thank`s!

Easiest is by NYC taxi, around $40. Cheapest is by public transportation, $7.25: take AirTrain from terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station ($5), transfer to inbound E subway ($2.25), at Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Hgts transfer to the inbound #7 subway and go three stops to 52nd St, walk down 52nd St one block to Queens Blvd and turn left, hotel is about a block and a half.

Yes but you will have a long walk from the subway to the hotel, here are directions: take AirTrain from terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station, transfer to inbound E subway, at Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Hgts transfer to the inbound #7 subway to 40th St, walk two blocks east on Queens Blvd to 39th St, turn left and then four long blocks to the hotel at 39th and Hunters Point Ave.

If you arrive on time from London you should be ok. After you clear customs in T4 go to the 3rd floor and take AirTrain on track 2 one stop to T3.
