Re-check bag after clearing customs?
Hello. I am flying from Paris to RDU on one ticket with a stop in JFK via American Airlines. I only have 1h20 to make the change. I'm knowI have to pick up my leggage before clearing customs. Is there a quick drop off on the other side of customs at terminal 8 for my connecting flight. Or do I have to exit and re-enter. Do I have to clear security again?

Hello,
My family will be arriving in JFK via BA at 10:30 pm from London. Their final destination is SFO and they are ticketed all the way to SFO. They have a 12 hour layover before their domestic flight on AA to SFO. They have reserved a hotel room near the airport prior to their flight to SFO.
Would they need to clear customs at JFK and then recheck in bags at the AA counter for their flight to SFO? Or could they checkin their bags all the way to SFO and avoid lugging them to the hotel for a few hours?
If they have to claim baggage and clear customs at JFK is there a possibility to check their bags into their AA flight prior to leaving the airport for the hotel?
Can you advise on the best option so they can travel conveniently?

My relative is flying BOM-BRU-JFK-DCA on 12th Aug. Ticket is showing terminal 8 for arrival and departure of 9w226/AA3823. Which gate he will arrive in JFK and which gate to depart? secondly, whether he will have to pickup the luggage and check in again in AA3823? Thirdly, he will carry 69 kgs (student visa) plus cabin baggage from Bombay....does he have to pay extra baggage at JFK for AA3823 ? Immigration will be done at JFK? Please reply urgently...thanks a lot..

My parents are arriving at Terminal 8 - Finnair from Helsinki. They speak no English and are quite anxious about finding customs.
1) Are customs located in Terminal 8 or do they need to take the airport train?
2) Is there more than one way to exit the customs area?
3) If they miss me by the custom area exit, what would be a good meeting point?

Hi, tomorrow I'll arrive Terminal 8 JFK from Milan 13.40 with AA and I'll have a connection to LAX with AA at 15.35. I kindlly ask if after customs there a special luggage check for connection and which is the maxt time to do it (45 mins before?). Thank in advance
