2hrs is enough to change a flight even though u need to get to another terminal.

i wll be arriving jfk terminal 4 by Qatar airways.and for my next flight only 2hrs duration is thr.if i miss my next fliht.then what is the procedure for getting next one?

I will be arriving at Terminal4 by Qatar Airways international flight.I have my connecting flight from Terminal8 American Airlines to dallas.I will be travelling for the first time so please tell me how should I go from term4 to 8 in 2 hrs time?I will have immigration & collection of luggage too.Please help!

Here is what u shud do...
--> Once you get out from the plane, spend very less time refreshing and head to the immigration as the queue could very long.
--> Once you complete the immigration head to the baggage carousel and head to the customs.
--> After clearing customs head to your airlines (Qatar airways in ur case) and hand over your luggage for check in. They will check in for your flight to Dallas.
--> Head to the upper level for the air train and that will take you to terminal 8. This is the fastest. You have a airtrain every 4 mins i Guess.
--> Remember you just have 2 hours so you make it as fast as possible.

We are coming in at terminal 8, two persons are meeting us.
We are all from Seattle and doesn't know the airport facilities. We are all 4 going w/ shuttle to Farmingdale. Where is the best meeting place. Arriving with AA.
to port authority from JFK
The A train is REALLY slow. I think you can take the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) from the same station as the A train (different area of the station) and it's half the time for a few more dollars. Worth it.

If you want to save money, take the AirTrain to Howard Beach station, then take the A train (subway) to Manhattan. Get off at 42nd street/Port Authority Bus Terminal. It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The cost is $7 ($5 for the AirTrain, $2 for the subway).
