You can take the Air Train to Jaimaca Train Station, then come down from Air Train Platform to the LIRR (LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD) tracks take a West Bound Train to New York City Penn Station. (You can pay on train for extra fee or buy ticket before boarding train).

Exit Penn Station on the 7th Avenue side, depending on where you exit you will be either right outside Madision Square Garden on 7th between 31st and 32nd Street, walk left 2 blocks cross 7th and walk 1 1/2 blocks down to Metro Hotel. Or you might exit on 34th Street walk right toward 7th Ave and follow above.
Safe Travels!

I'm also travelling from Belgium to JKF next week.

3 solutions:
If you have a lot a luggage, take a shuttle airport. You can ask for one at info point in JKF (ground transport information). You can ask them to call a shuttle for you. $20 for the price

Airtrain + LIRR : $15 the fastier but you have to carrier your luggage yourself...

Taxi: the more expensive and not the shorter in time... $50 + toll + tips

We chose airtrain+LIRR for next week, we have wheels on our luggage ;-)

Hi! I'm flying back to Norway via JFK and Paris from Orlando. And waiting time for my connecting flight is 7hrs in JFK, Will there be possible to get into Manhattan? Do I need to declare my goods/luggage on my way out of the US? If I do will I get out of the airport. Not very cool sitting at JFL for 7hrs :S

thanks in advance. And happy new year.

Yes, 7 hours are more the enough. Take taxi, express bus or Air train to Howrad beach A train station, then A train to the city.

I have to do a report for my highschool about noise pollution near JFK...does anyone know where I can find information about the laws that govern noise pollution in this area?

Check NY Departament of Transporation and FAA regulations and statistics. Secondary look at IATA website as well as other airport sites to compare your results.

Check the planning department. That's the first place I would go.

I am flying American Airlines from Toronto to JFK and onwards to San Juan, Puerto Rico on Sat Jan 9th. I will arrive at JFK at 12.10pm, Terminal 8 and my connecting flight is at 2.30pm at Terminal D.

I have two questions:
1) Will I have enough time to connect? I think the next connecting flight is around 7.20 p.m.

2) Do I have to take my checked-in luggage and clear security between terminals?

Thanks for your help!

You will have enough time to connect but check with the airline if you need to recheck you bag. It depends if they have an interline agreement with the connecting airlins.

p.

Hi, I will be arriving at JFK at Terminal 1. My next connecting flight (Delta) departs from Terminal 3. Do I have to carry my luggage all the way to Terminal 3 or does Delta have a helpdesk at Terminal 1 as well?
If so, can carts for luggage be carried from one terminal to another?

There is a good chance you might have to carry you luggage. Depends on how short is your connections and if the two airlines have an interline agreement.(Example: If your travelleing Lufthansa and connecting with Jet Blue then you dont have to worry about your bag)If your connection is around an hour pick your bag up and recheck with Delta because it might not make the flight (my experiance). The good news is that terminal 3 is 100ft walking distance from terminal 1 and yes you can bring the cart. If its snowing like today, there is an Air Train to Term. 3, it takes 1 min.

i'm Flying in few month from paris until Richmond Virginia and i have to make a stop(change) in JFK for take my second fly my question is : Did i have to take my luggage back with me between my both fly or did the JFK team doing the tranfer by themself??? thanks in advance for any answers !!!

You have to take it, because of Immigration and customs. Afterwards you give it "back" for your Next Flight.

Thanx for your answer !!!

In a domestic flight, is security allowing passengers to take food items such as cupcakes, as a carry on?
