How to get to terminal 7
I will take Delta Airline 240 to JFK on August 6. The flight arrives at JFK at 10:01pm.I have to get to terminal 7 before 10:30pm because the bus which picks up will leave at 10:30pm. I want to know what is the terminal of Delta 240 and how can I get to terminal 7 before 10:30pm.
Bad News... you'll never make that 10:30 bus at terminal 7...
It's a shame you tried to make such a close connection. You won't be off the plane until 10:20, if that, and there is no way you'll get to that 10:30 bus. Good luck with your plans.

in 30 min ,ummmmm you need luck ,specially with all the delays that become inevitable nowadays.
Transfer from JFK to Park South Hotel, Manhattan
Hi - my husband and I are due to arrive at JFK from the UK late morning on August 28th and have 3 nights booked at the Park South Hotel in Manhattan. Would a cab be very expensive? I have found some shared shuttle services that seem reasonable - around $19 each -and wonder if they are worth trying. Does anyone have experience of using the airport shuttles - and any recommendations to pass on. Many thanks
Shuttles are your best bet...
A taxi will cost $45.00 plus tolls plus tip. The shuttle buses are a better alternative.

The shuttle is really quite easy to use, because it is shared and everyone is travelling to different destinations it can take a little longer than a taxi. The taxis have a flat fare from JFK to Manhattan of US$45 dollars (well it was when I went in March). Given that there are 2 of you and for ease I would suggest getting a cab into Manhattan - you can always get the shuttle bus to take you back to the airport when you leave.
VAT Refund Desk at JFK: Missing ?
Hi, I live in Italy and I bought some stuff in NY with the idea to get back the 8,735% at the JFK airport. But I was told the in this airport there is NO such desk. Question: does it mean that I have lost my refund possibilities or may I do something whan I am in Italy ? I mean fill in a page on a web site, etc.

USA does not have a VAT like Bella Italia...
Sales tax in NY is different from VAT in Italy. Sales tax is a state by state tax, unlike VAT which is a national tax in Italy. Unfortunately, you will not be able to recover the 8.375% tax you paid. I hope you enjoy whatever purchases you made. Ciao!
flight to Brazil delayed
Oh well, I'm not waiting for that flight, but I have a friend who is this airport at this very right moment and she'll have to wait until tomorrow morning. All passengers will have to spend the night at the airport because there was some kind of problem with the flight. And you know what,a guy was taking a picture of people sitting on the floor,of the mess this delay caused and someone from the airport threatened to call the police for him and said " this is not Brazil" ! Alright, this is not. This is a first world country and no one in the world expects to see people being treated this way over there, because we all think first world countries have polite and kind people who learned all their lives to find solutions for the problems when they pop up. These passengers who are going to spend the night in the airport, without shower, sitting, laying on the floor should be taken to a hotel, shouldn't they? It doesn't matter if this people are from here, from there or anywhere else in the world.They are all people and I'm sure they all paid for their trip. And it was not cheap. So, a little bit of respect, please!

LX15 seems to be late due to thunderstorms. Landed in Boston... no information regarding delay...so the JFK webpage is not true if it says "no destination specific delays"

Information changes by the minute... can't blame the webpage if situations change before the website can be updated!
