You can have a cart from T5($5) and take it on the Airtrain all the way to RAM check-in counter. Or you can have a baggage handler helping you.

JFK to MEX
Hi,
I will be getting to JFK on AI 101 tmrw (9th)and have a connecting flt to MEX (DL 481)the same morning. What would be the minimum time required to make the connection, considering that AI flts are facing the possibilty of some delay due to the reurgence of volcanic activity. Help Plz

I am flying from Detroit
I am flying from Detroit (DTW) to Manchester, England (MAN) via JFK on Monday May 24th.
I land at JFK at 17.30 and depart at 19.15.
I was told when booking the 1 hour 45 minute turnover would be plenty as both flights are with Delta, so my luggage would be checked through to Manchester and that I wouldn't have far to travel within the airport.
Is this all true?

Delta has three terminals at JFK - and those flights may be at different terminals. You are right about automatic transfer of the luggage though. Still , 1 hour and 45 minutes would be enough(regardless where the flights are at).

I am a huge fan of Saarinen. To what extent is it possible to look around the TWA terminal?

I don't think they will let you go in front of it(close to it) but you can take a good look from the following places:
- Airtrain(traveling between T4 and T5);
- Skywalk(connector connecting Airtrain station with T5);
- Terminal 5;
- driving in front of TWA terminal;
- departure level of Terminal 4;
- yellow parking lot(last floor of the garage) for T5.

Tha absolute cheapest is by Airtrain/subway ($7.25); take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station and transfer to the E subway which, when it enters Manhattan, has stops along 50th St. and then heads downtown along 8th Ave. You can also take LIRR ($13)from Jamaica to Penn Station located at 33rd St. between 7th & 8th Aves. The NYAS bus ($15) stops at all terminal and goes to Grand Central Station, Times Square, Port Authority Bus Terminal and Penn Station. Taxi is $50+ and all taxis at JFK are NYC taxis.
