okay, thanks a lot!

My sister is flying from Spain to Toronto through a connection at JFK. She will be arriving on T7 and have 2 hrs to go to T8 to get the other plane.

Q: Is it 2 hrs enough ?
Does she has to checking throught customs to move between T7 to T8?

Thanks in advance
Manuel

Yes 2 hours is a good time frame.
Yes upon arrival in the U.S she has to go through U.S Customs and Immigration.

Excellent, thanks

Question, we are arriving via American Eagle at Terminal 8 with only 40 minute connection time. The connecting flight is an international flight leaving terminal 8 as well...provided everything is on time, is 40 minutes enough time? If an international flight is scheduled to leave at 11:00am for example, when do they bolt the doors and not allow passengers to board? Passengers are flying internationl business class...not sure if that makes a difference??

Kim, I had the same connection last summer at T8 with only 30min window and I made it. T8 is pretty much easy terminal and my first flight was exactly on time. Wish I had flown business class though:)

40 minutes may not be enough to connect especially when your first flight may not land on time. Give yourself a longer time frame just to be on a safe side (2hours)

40 minutes may not be enough time to make that connection. You would need at least an hour and 30 minutes to make a connection.

In that case 40 mins is absolutely enough(if AE is on time). Usually the flight closes 15-20 mins prior to departure time. You don't have to change the buildings, just look for the gate number. Being business class also helps - just let any AA employee as soon as you get off the AE plane that you are on the way to make your connecting flight.

Hi,
My sister-in-law ( she is not a senior so airline doesn't help) is coming into JFK from Moscow. She does not speak any English (Russian only). Does a service exist to hire that meets a person just outside of customs holding a sign with their name on it and then help them transfer terminals, and check into Jetblue with their luggage ? It saves me from needing to fly from Rochester to JFK just to help her. Tried googling, but my keywords must not have the correct lingo.

Thanks for any help.

It does exist and it is free. Here are the details:

I will look into it thanks.
I am just worried that she cannot even find the traveler's aid - unless someone is holding a sign right outside of customs.

thanks. I will email

She does not have to look for them at JFK - all you have to do is just email them with the details of the flight and the person arriving and they will do their best to help her.

Thanks !

Dear B2G
I have a question. If a passenger fails to make a connecting flight is the airline obligated to get him or her a new airplane ticket. If the flight is not on time and connecting time frame is tight what happens next?
