T4 and T8 are two completely different buildings and each one of them has their own customs/immigration facility.

Unfortunately no since each terminal has its own customs.

Hi,

I'm coming into terminal 3 through a delta flight at 11:45am and I have a flight with air china eastern in terminal 1 at 3:35p. Do I need to get my luggage out at terminal 3 and have to recheck it at terminal 1?

Thanks

Nope. You can check your luggage all the way to your final destination and since you will be leaving U.S you wont have to go through U.S Customs.

Hi,
I arrive on a Domestic flight this Saturday, Terminal 3 and my parents arrive on an international flight, Terminal 5. Are the baggage claim areas in the same area of the airport where we can meet or do I need to claim my luggage first and meet them in another baggage claim area? Can I get on the AirTrain after I claim my luggage in Terminal 3 to get to Terminal 5?
Thank you!

You have to claim your luggage first and then meet them. You can absolutely use free air train to get from terminal 3 to terminal 5.

Hi, do you know if there might be a delay on Munich-NY flight which left Germany at 11:30?

Only your airline can give you that information.

Hi what time they open the terminal for domestic flights nowadays....

Last year i got there at 4am - 4.30am and i had to wait almost an hour outside...

I wonder if its still the same this next summer.

thnx in advance

Most likely yes.

HI, we are visiting USA for 4 weeks summwe 2011. On our way back home we are coming (with Delta Air) from Las Vegas to JFK/Term 3 at time 02:58pm. Plane to Sweden leaves (with American Airlines) 05:40pm from JFK/Term 8.
So, we will indeed just switch planes, not stay in NY.

a) Is that time enough (2:42) for us to change plane?
b) Do we need to pickup/checkin all our bags at JFK, even if it's only a plane swop?
c) Is there a need for some bus transportation between terminal 3 & 8?
d) If so, should it be pre-booked in any way.

Kind regards
//Magnus from Sweden

a. Yes it is
b. You can check your bags all the way through.
c. Use air train no need to use the bus.
d. nope

My son left some luggage at terminal one on 8th of feb to be collected when he came back through on 20 th feb. He had his passport stolen ( with his baggage collection ticket in it ) He is still waiting to get his new passport and then will probably fly straight home from paris as he has hardly any money left. Is there any way he can have his baggage either collected by someone else or sent unacompanied back to australia. Also as it was out of his control that he could not collect it on the correct date what fee will he be charged ??? regards suzi

Airport officials only please.

We are flying out of JFK 14 February 2011 at 20pm from terminal 7 to CPH via Rejkjavik.

When are you expected to check-in ?

How long does it take by taxi from Manhatten to JFK ?

Thanks !

Best regards
