JFK International Airport AirTrain

AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK

Is it possible to travel between terminal 4& 7. How long is the journey and how frequent are trains

No it is not possible. You can only get from one terminal to the next by an air train from terminal 4 on track 1 to terminal 7.

we are taking the air train from jamaica to JFK tomorrow morning at 10:30, will there be any delays on the air train?

The Airtrain is the best way to go. You have to be aware of Rush Hour so I would Advise taking a train to Jamaica Station. Then the Airtrain to JFK.

Been stuck in the air train for over an hour now. Many people upset because they are missing their flights. I highly doubt they will get reimbursed for their flights. God this really sucks!!!!!

I am flying into NYK at 2:30pm, I will leave for Ireland out of NYK at 10:00PM. I want to go to Bayside to see some older aunts and an uncle while I am waiting for connecting flight.
MY Uncle told me I could take the train from JFK to the Jamaica station and then catch the 31 bus to a stop on 32nd Ave. I might just take a taxi from the train station to his house, but I would like to know how to get this train from the airport to the Jamaica station, and how long does it typically take?
Any help would be great. I am nervous thinking about it. I might break down and get a taxi both ways, but i would prefer to save a bit of money.
THank you! ;)

I would take the AirTrain to Jamaica then either take a taxi to Bayside. You should be at JFK by at least 8:00 if you have luggage to check. It also depends what airline you are flying. Aer Lingus departs from Terminal 4 usually. Delta departs from T4, T3, and T2. You should take the Taxi back to Jamaica and take the AirTrain to your Terminal.

You take the AirTrain from terminal on track 1 designated to Jamaica Station, travel time about 10-15 minutes. Travel time on the bus is about 45 minutes, $2.25 each way. Taxi is about $40 each way.

There is limited service on the Q31 bus ($2.25), and they do not run late, so I would not take it at 10:00pm. However, I think taking it at 2:30 will be fine (you might just have to wait a bit).

To get to the Jamaica station from the Airport, you need to take the JFK Airtran ($5) to the Jamaica station; it will take approximately 15-20 minutes from what I can remember. To get to Bayside from Jamaica, I would say that will take another 20 minutes or so. So just to be safe, I would say the trip will take 45 minutes or so, and taking a cab is always a good option too if you don't want to deal with this...

Hello! We are arriving on the 16-th of September. We need to get our hotel which is at 161 Lexington Avenue. What train/subway we need to use? Tottaly lost with the map.

Take AirTrain on track 1 from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to the E subway to Lexington/53rd St, transfer to the downtown #6 subway to 28th St, walk two blocks north on Lexington to hotel.

I need to get to Princeton Junction ( New Jersey) from JFK International Airport on the 24th of this month, Please do let me the know the trains that I need to take

AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station; Long Island Rail Road from Jamaica to Penn Station New York (frequent service); NJ Transit from Penn Station to Princeton Junction (check www.njtransit.com for schedule).

As an alternative, you can consider the (more expensive) bus service offered by Olympic Airporter from JFK to Princeton. Details at www.olympicairporter.com. (Click on the link for Middlesex/Mercer County shuttle service.)

Upon landing I shall be shuttling to the Super 8 Jamaica Hotel. The next morning I need get to Penn train station. Do you advise catching the subway from a station near the hotel (if so, which one?)or would it be better to catch the shuttle back to JFK and then travel to Penn train station?

The Super 8 is walking distance to the Jamaica LIRR or Sutphin Blvd. E subway, both stop at Penn Station.
