I will be arriving at Penn station at 10pm and need to catch an American Flight to Haiti at 9:30 am. What is the easiest inexpensive way to get to the airport? Also, is there someplace at the airport to wait for the 11 hours?
Thanks

Take LIRR train from Penn Station to Jamaica station and then Airtrain to the terminals.
Terminal 4 is open 24 hours.

On June 10, 2010 my son ,Mr.Chalee Sriprasert,an exchange student at Steven Points High School,Wisconsin was traveling home. At about 6.oopm while he sat and waited for checkin to Cathay Pacific Airways flight CX889 in front of counter checkin there was a stranger came and hit him in the face. The blood came out of his mount and his mount got swelled up. Some officer there took him to the medical room and that stranger got cought by the police. I lost contact with him after that. I am in Thailand waiting for him to return home. He travels alone. I am very worry about him. Why such a thing happened inside your airport. What is your security system over there ? I called to airport personel overthere and she said she cannot gave me any information about my son.She said it is a security reason. But how about my son's life security ? Any one of you who has the authority at this airport please give me the detail about this incident. Are you hold any responsibility to this case ? Can I claim the Airport Authority of New York for this ? Your response will be highly appreciated.
Yours sincerely,

I will arrive on a domestic flight with Delta. I think that will be terminal 3. I have an 1.5 hours to go to Avianca for a flight to Colombia. Is Avianca also terminal 3? Is that enough time?

Avianca is at Terminal 4. Take Airtrain across the street from Terminal 3, on track 1 and get off next stop-Terminal 4. As long as Delta is on time you should be fine.

Thank you.

Hello,
I am flying from Rome, Italy to JFK airport on Alitalia Airlines. The flight is due to arrive at 1:55pm (Oct. 30). I then have a flight at 3:00pm for LAX aboard American Airlines. I have checked luggage I will need to collect and recheck to get on the American Airlines flight. Is it going to be a problem to make this connection? And any advice on how to accomplish this as quickly as possible? These are two separate flights and involve a booking error in where I needed to land!
Thanks!

You have to rearrange the flights somehow to have a bigger window between them. Simply put - 1 hr and 5 min is not enough in your case. The immigration/customs formalities will take up to 40 min, transferring to the other terminal another 10-15 min. I am sure that American will close the check-in for LAX at 2pm(max 2:15 pm).

Hi, I'm travelling from Dallas AA400 to NY - JFK. I will be arriving Jfk gate 33 at 5.15pm and my flight to chennai 9w225 is at 6.10, will I be able to make it on time .

I don't have the gate no from where the jet airways leaves to Brussels ... Plz advice

You will be fine as long as AA400 is on time. Both flights are at T8, unfortunately there is way to find out which gate Jet Airways is departing from. Even AA400 may change the arrival gate in the last moment. Terminal 8 is big but walking between the gates won't take more than 15 min.

I am travelling on RJ airlines from Jordan into JFK airport (terminal 4), and then transiting to Miami Int'l airpot leaving from terminal 8 JFK.
The layover between flights is 2hrs 15mins...my two questions are:
- is this enough time between flights (an international and then domestic)
- will I need to claim my bags at JFK and then re-check in at terminal 8

the Ticket i have is one tkt on RJ and AA part of the same alliance. it's a codeshare ticket.

thank you

You have time to transfer if RJ is on time.
You need to claim your bags in order to go through US customs. You can transfer them after that at RJ connecting flights counter at T4 or take them with you to T8 and check them in there.

omg me 2 on rj arriving 13th to jfk from damascus. although you have enough time, it will be tight if you booked the domestic and international separately.i've been there.

assuming you booked the domestic and international segments on one ticket, then once you check in your luggage at the international arrival terminal, your next flight HAS to wait for you (no need to carry luggage from one terminal to the other). make sure you ask around though where to check in for your domestic flight. its REALLY confusing/hidden if you've never been there. remember to take a LEFT automatically after you exit customs and when you see people waiting for their international traveler friends and family. they'll take your luggage there. you might have to wait a little but somebody will come from your airline.

if you booked the domestic and international SEPARATELY (which you didn't apparently), then you will have to run like hell with your luggage to the second terminal, since this is the high season and you have to check in at least 45 minutes before departure on your next flight.

its really a hassel if you have two separate bookings (like me), with luggage weight/size restrictions and having to carry them from one terminal to the other.

happy flying.

Please, how can I get information (by internet or by phone) about the arrival of the flights in JFK? Thank you.
