Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK.
T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century.
T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world.
T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America.
T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually.
T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year.
T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station.
T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.

Teminal 8 to 4
Hi, I am flying from STL to India. My fight from STL (via AMERICAN EAGLE) arrives at 9:26 pm at terminal 8 JFK. I have to take a connecting flight at 11:00 pm terminal 4 (EMIRATES) .Which leaves me about hour and a half time to transfer. I am travelling with my family with 2 infants. With that said do I get enough time to make this transfer ? How long will it take to transfer ? What is the best way to do this ?
Do I have to collect my checked in bags from terminal 8 and re-check in them in at terminal 4 or can I do the through check-in at STL and that way I don’t have to re-check in.
You can ask American Eagle
You can ask American Eagle in STL if they will check through all your bags - it all depends on the fact if AE has baggage transfer agreement with Emirates.
From T8 take Airtrain on track 2 and you will be at T4 in less than 5 mins.

Both airlines arrive at T4. Best place to meet is at T4,1st floor, international arrivals(by Travelex money exchange counter).

Will land Terminal-8 8am, then we have to catch Emirates from T4 11.20am.
What are my option to change Terminal with 2 little kids?

Emirates land T4 , then immigration and then we have to take AA from T8.
What about baggage? Do I have to take from T4 to T8?
Take Airtrain on the second
Take Airtrain on the second floor of T8, on track 2 to T4. It is only 4 mins free ride. You have plenty of time to transfer.
On your way back you have to pick up your bags and go through US customs. Then re-check them in at Emirates connecting flights counter.
Take Airtrain on the third floor of T4, on any track , to T8.

I need to make connection to my final destination Toronto.
How many time I need for that Path, It is long?.
Do I ´ve to do Coustums Issues, I´m on transit.

T4 , Immigration and Transfer
Hi ,
My wife and kids are arriving into T4 by Air India @ 7 AM . They have connection flight to Washington DC @ 10 AM .
They need to clear Adavance Parol section for Immigration which is a different section wich normally is close to the regular immigration section. The question is whether they need to take the luggage and transfer to United Airlines before they go for AP Immigration or they have to take the luggage with them while they wait for AP clearance ?
Also, how long does it take to transfer from T4 to Uninted airlines local transfer terminal ?
Is 3 hrs good enough to clear all the above and make a transfer with the kids ?

They will need quite some
They will need quite some time for that clearance - it would certainly take at least 2 hours. Depending on the activity in the secondary immigration department sometimes it takes more than 3 hours.
They will transfer the luggage after the immigration process.
It takes ~20 mins to go from T4 to T7.

I am arriving JFK terminal 3 in canadian airlines and need to transfer to Terminal 4 singapore airlines. I am travelling with wife and baby. Is 2 hours sufficient to transfer luggage and move between terminals?
