Traveling early in the morning
I am planning to take the "E" train from manhattan (23rd st) to JFK - I have an international flight that leaves at 6AM - so I'm thinking of heading to the subway at around 3AM. Is that enough time? Does the airtrain run all night from Jamaica station?
Is there any other nighttime restriction I should know about for the airtrain or subway?
Transit
I am arriving in Terminal 8 with AA from Miami at 11pm and will be leaving at 11:50pm with Qatar Airways to Doha from Terminal 8, is it possible to get there in time?
Probably not.
Probably not.
International baggage
My parents are arriving at JFK via Qatar airways QR83 at 1500 in Terminal 4.
They will be taking a United flight UA19 from Terminal 7 to SFO at 1905.
Is 4 hours sufficient to clear immigration and customs?
After clearing customs, is there a United counter in
Terminal 4 (international) to check-in their bags?
Or, do they need to take bags to Terminal 7 and check in
there?
Thanks for the help
Four hours is plenty of
Four hours is plenty of time. If Qatar and United have baggage agreement and bags are tagged and they have boarding passes all the way to SFO they can take their bags to United connecting flights counter after customs, otherwise they will need to check in at T7. To travel from T4 to T7, go to AirTrain on 3rd floor of T4 and take any train on track 1 to T7.

I'm flying into JFK for one overnight stay. I would like to get inot manhattan for a morning visting> I want to get the train but which one do I take and what stop would have get off the train.
P.S any tips for a half decent hotel close to airport to lay my haor down for night too would be a great help with breaking the bank.
Take AirTrain from terminal
Take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to inbound E subway to 42nd St, Times Square area. Continue one stop to 34th St/Penn Station for Empire State Building, continue to end of E subway line for Ground Zero/WTC site. Return to Jamaica/AirTrain on the E subway, via LIRR from Penn Station or Far Rockaway-bound A subway to Howard Beach/AirTrain. See the hotel page on the site navigation section to the right.

I am arriving at JFK in the afternoon of the 14th, needed to go to 6th Ave and 50th. I have a large size luggage. What would be the best suggestion to get there? Also, what about suppershuttle service?
managing luggage from airtran to penn station
I am arriving at on the 16th at 16:30PM, terminal 4. Will be traveling with 3 (fairly big)luggage pieces and would like to take the Empire express at 7:45PM from Penn station. I have noticed that the route calls for walking at a couple of places.
Are there carts and elevators available at these walking junctions so that it would be convenient to self-transport the luggage all the way to the Empire express? Also is there help available for transporting luggage?
If you take a taxi or NY
If you take a taxi or NY Airports bus you will have assistance to Penn Station and there are Amtrak baggage helpers at Penn Station to help you get on the train. Taxi is $45+tolls+tip and be sure to give the driver a nice tip if lots of help is provided, shuttle bus is $15. By public transportation; rent a luggage cart and take yourself and your luggage to AirTrain on the 3rd floor of T4 (by elevator) and take the Jamaica Station train on track 1, transfer to LIRR to Penn Station. You must leave the luggage cart when you exit AirTrain and there's no assistance available on LIRR, however the trains have overhead luggage racks.
