Where in Manhattan are you heading to? The area is big and there are a lot of subway lines going there and trough there.

On 7/2/10 we will be traveling by Delta FF ticket from
VPS,Atlanta to La Guardia transfer to JFK to fly to TXL and return the same way on 8/2. We have to clear customs in JFK and then transfer to La Guardia.Lay Over is both times 4 Hrs.
Qu:1) Will our luggage be checked all the way through TXL from VPS,FL?
QU: 2)On the return after clearing customs can we recheck the luggage at JFK to VPS or do we have to transport it to La guardia and recheck it there?
Qu:3)Will 4Hrs be long enough for the transfer if we take a taxi?

I flew into JFK from Dulles yesterday around 12pm and my connecting flight was canceled. I decided to stay in NY and was told that my bag would be sent without me to Miami and that they would know to send it back to New York. I was given a phone number for baggage claim but no one answers it. Is there any way I can know the status of my bag?

Hi, my wife and I are be traveling very soon to NY, however she will be coming from Seatle (Delta) and I will be arriving in an international flying (Delta). This is our first time in JFK airport. We need to find a meeting point. May you please to tell me what could be a common point if she is arriving from domestic fly and I from International fly?

Since you will travel international, then you will end up in area C. The domestic flight passenger has to look for that area in Terminal 3.

Pick a Gate Number such as gate 20 which would be near domestic arrivals. Both domestic and International are well conected.

Then there are plenty of restaurants near gate 20 and also more near there.

hi,

I would be along with 3 of my friends coming to NY on 27th March 2010. From JFK we need to go to 73rd Street NY.

What would be the best way to travel to the destination and what would be the taxi fare considering that the four of us would also have some luggage.

Hi Dheevar,
the taxi fare will be flat of $45 + toll($5.50). There are minivans(yellow cab) that holds more bags for the same price. Just request it from the taxi dispatcher once you get on the taxi line.

I have 3 digital timers (sealed purchase from Home Depot with receipt) I need to take to the Caribbean for setup in my home to turn on/off lights automatically. Can I travel with these switches?

Hello, My friend is supposed to be flying from JFK to GRU this evening via Delta flight 121. Is the flight cancelled or delayed?
What are the procedures for her if flight is cancelled? does she get on the next flight tomorrow?

Hi

I'm going to China very soon and now I'm looking at some flight tickets. I'm considering flying from Indianapolis to JFK non-stop by Delta, then from JFK to Beijing by Air China. If so, I'm arriving at JFK at 3:05PM and the Air China plane takes off at 4:50 PM. I've never been to JFK before. Is the lay over time enough to make this transfer? I got luggage to check too.

Airtrain to Jamaica Station then Subway line E to 53rd str. stop. You will be on 5th Ave - one block away from 6th Ave.
