My JetBlue flight from Houston is scheduled to land at 11:44 am at Terminal 6 and I have an international flight with Saudi Airlines at 2 pm from Terminal 2. Do you think it is enough time to check out and check in? Generally how early one should be at the terminal to catch on an international flight?

Jet Blue from Houston will land at T5 and Saudi Airlines departs out of T1. You have plenty of time to transfer since "one have to be at the airport at least 2 hours in advance for international flight".

Hi, my mother will arrive in JFK terminal 1, she has to go to terminal 3 to take Delta Airline. As she do not understand english, is there some services can help her find the terminal 3? The Airtrain is inside of the airport or outside? She has to go out of the airport to take the airtrain? How many stations between terminal 1 and T3? Thank you for your help.

Let her look for Ground transportation counter and the agents there will help her.
It is very easy to transfer between Terminal 1 and Delta Terminals(either 2 or 3). Just tell her to walk outside of the building and walk to her right over to the next building(which is Terminal 2). The walk is no more than 5 minutes. Terminal 2 is Delta terminal as well and she can clear security there. There won't be a big hassle even the departing gate is at Terminal 3 since Terminals 2 and 3 are connected after security clearance.

My 72yr old mother who will be requesting wheelchair assistance will be arriving at JFK on Emirates (Terminal 4) and making a connection on United (Terminal 7) to IAD. I believe that means immigration > baggage retrieval > customs > baggage re-check-in > Airtrain to Teminal 7.

- the gap between the flights is 2hrs 20mins. Is that cutting it too close? Arrival is at 7:45am. Is that a "rush" hour?
- will the wheelchair escort take her from T4 to T7 or does she have to manage the Airtrain on her own?

For T4 that time is not "rush hour".
2hrs and 20 mins is enough , given the fact that she will be assisted by wheelchair person(who knows where to go and what to do). This is only for what takes place at T4.
Transferring wheelchair passengers between terminals has been ongoing problem for JFK. The wheelchair company at T4 does NOT take passengers outside Terminal 4(even sometimes I have seen them making exceptions). It is good idea that you call Emirates in advance and INSIST on assistance between the terminals. As one of the best airlines I do believe they will do their best to accommodate your mother.

Hi, I ordered an electronic English Chinese Dictionary from China, according to the tracking info, it was handed over to the JFK Airport Custom. My daughter is taking Chinese as an elective, and I ordered this for her birthday and hope to receive it before April. I heard that the Custom can hold up items for months. Please give me a contact number so that I can reach them to find out the status of my parcel. Thank you.

I'm trying desperately to recover a bag that was checked on American Airlines from Miami to Milan via JFK...
One was found at JFK and has now been sent on to Milan.
The other isn't showing up in the system anywhere and I suspect it's still stuck at JFK. Do you have a telephone number at JFK that I can call to see if I can locate it?

I will arrive at JFK Terminal 8 on April 7 at 6AM from Brazil and will need to catch a flight to Wash, DC at 8:30AM at Terminal 7, I would like to know if this is time sufficient for me to go through immigration, customs, baggage claim, security check , and get go to Terminal 7 , drop the baggage and security check again. Please help and thanks. R Judit

You have two hours and half which is enough for transfer.

I have lost baggage that may be stuck in JFK. Can have I telephone number of whoever can handle that? Delta's baggage Service office, for example? (Delta was my carrier) Although I them at 800-325 82 24, they couldn't send my baggage to Boston and then to Worcester, MA.

Try (718) 704-2144.
