connecting flights
Hi,
I recently booked a flight on Aer Lingus going from JFK to Dublin. My flight is set to leave at 5:45pm. Now I need to book a flight to get from DC to JFK. Do I need to be at JFK 3 hours before my 545 departure or will I already be done with security when I arrive from DC?

Hi Katie,
If I understood correctly you are flying from DC to JFK and then to Dublin.
You definitely will be flying different airlines so you have to change the buildings at JFK. Which means - going through security again. Well, at JFK 2hrs is the minimum for a passenger to be at the terminal before an international flight departs.

Time to spend
Hi,
i will arrive to JFK from Milan (Flight AA0199 3/21/2010) at 1:40 PM and my connection to LAX (Flight AA185) depart on 9:00 PM.
Do you think is possible take a cab or Airtrain to visit NewYork a couple of hours?

You do have time for that - cab is roughly 45 min each way to the city; with public transportation it will take you around 1hr to 1hr and 15 min each way. So, you decide:)

We have Delta flights from TPA to JFK and then on to Athens in April. I'm concerned because we only have an hour and 10 minutes between flights. Is this a problem?

It might be, even on the same airline. Try to change your flight from Tampa for earlier one.

we are visiting New York on April 15th, we are 2 adults and 3 children, What is the cheapest transportation from JFK to Embasssy Suites in Manhattan?

The cheapest way to get there is by Airtrain and subway.
Take Airtrain to Jamaica Station then subway line E to World Trade Center stop. The hotel is located three blocks away going west on Barclay street.
Cost of the journey - $7.25 per person.Duration ~ 1 hour.
