Hi,please could you tell me the best way to get from JFK terminal 3 to Doubletree NYC Chelsea Hotel. Thanks
Taxi is easiest and most
Taxi is easiest and most direct $45+tolls+tip. You can also take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station ($5), transfer to LIRR to Penn Station ($6.25 off peak/$8.50 peak), walk south on 7th Ave. to 29th St. and turn left to hotel.
I'm arriving on Delta
I'm arriving on Delta Connection on terminal 3. Need to go to Avianca, I believe on terminal 4,
Where do I claim my luggage if Delta didn't transfer it to Avianca?
Where do I take the airtrain?
How long will it take to claim the luggage and the airtrain ride?
You will pick up your bags
You will pick up your bags upon arrival at JFK at baggage claim area at terminal 3. Take an air train at terminal 3 on track 2 1 minute trip then recheck your bags with Avianca at terminal 4.
All this may take you an hour or less.

fastest way on AirTrain to Terminal 8
I'm trying to make an 11pm international flight on Monday April 11 after arriving on Amtrack at 8:40pm, and am thinking about taking the LIRR from Penn Station to Jamaica. Since my connection time is tight and the AirTrain from Jamaica station goes counterclockwise around from Terminal 1 to 8, would it be faster for me to get off at Terminal 1 and get a clockwise Terminal train that goes directly from T1 to T8?
Yes, that makes sense and
Yes, that makes sense and would save you a little time. Taxi from Penn Station may get you there faster but certainly more expensive!
Hi, I´ll be arriving on
Hi, I´ll be arriving on April 8th to jfk and my hotel is in 215 West 94th Street, Upper West Side. Can I use the Air train to go there ?
Thanks
You would take AirTrain from
You would take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, then transfer to subway or LIRR. Your best bet is to take LIRR to Penn Station, then follow signs to the uptown 1,2,3 subways and take either subway (the #1 is the local, #2, #3 are express) to 96th St. LIRR is a bit faster and more comfortable, but more expensive. Otherwise you can take the E subway from Jamaica to 42nd St. and transfer there to the 1,2,3 subway. Exit 96th St station, walk two blocks south on Broadway to 94th St and turn left.
