Connections.
I would be arriving by Air India from Delhi at 06.00hrs. I would be taking a connection to Boston. Ihave a choice of JetBlue or American Airlines or Delta.
Would be grateful for information on which terminal does Air India arrive and what are the terminals for JetBlue/Delta/AA ? How long should I plan for transit time between the two flights?

Plan for at least 2.5-3hrs time interval between the flights.
Delta is at T3,Jet Blue is at T5 and AA is at T8.
Air India arrives at T4.

Volcano eruption again
Hi,
I am having a scheduled flight by Qatar Airways QR 84 on 7-may-2010 from JFK Terminal 4. I hope there is no problem or delay in the flight schedule because of volcano explosion again!!. Please clarify.

I will be arriving at JFK on United airlines from SF at 7:08 and my flight departs with Air France at 9:25. I know that I will have to cross from Terminal 7 to Terminal 1 and I am concerned about time. Will I have to go through another security or customs on my way? Will I have to re-check my bags?

You have to go through security again at T8. No customs involved when you leave US. Double check with United in SFO if you have to pick up and re-check your bags at JFK.

i will be coming abu dhabi
i will be coming abu dhabi to JFK on 8th evening at around 4:15PM.i have a connecting flight to move to boston at around 10pm through AA.
can i check in my luggage as soon as i arrive in JFK or not.
Also one more thing i would like to know ,is there any transit visa to move around for few hours(3 hours) since i have a gap of 6 hours.

You can try to transfer your bags at connecting flights counter for the airline that brought you up from Abu Dhabi(as soon as you pass customs) - they will move your bags to AA. You don't need a transit visa to go to the city.

Taking Photos

I will be arriving via Virgin Air on 28/06/10 and have arranged a Limo as a surprise for my Nieces 16th Birthday (who is travelling with us) Would I be able to take a photo of the Chauffeur who will be holding up a card with my Nieces name on it (photo is for a keepsake album for her) unsure whether you can take any photos inside of an airport?
You should be able to take
You should be able to take the photo as long as you are away from any security screening/operations areas. To play it safe I'd locate a police officer, tell what you want to do so they are aware and they may direct you to an area to take the photo.

We arrive on 03.June2010 at 4pm in JFK and we have to go to Hotel Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Hights in New Jersey.
What is the cheapest and shortest way and transportation to get there???

The hotel is adjacent to Teterboro airport.
Taxi will cost you $100-$120.
Cheapest way to go there is to take public.
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going two different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then either:
-take subway line E to Penn Station(total fare - $7.25;~1 hour) or
-take LIRR train to Penn Station(faster;total fare ~ $12, less on the weekends; 35-45 min.)
From there take NJ transit train to Teterboro(with transfer at Secaucus Junction).Cost- $6.25;30 min travel time.
From the train station you can get a local taxi to the hotel.It should not be more than $10.

Daughter transiting through JFK back to UK
My 19yr old daughter flies in to JFK from Costa Rica at 01:00hrs 15th May on Delta and flies out to Heathrow at 18:00hrs on Delta the same afternoon. Is there a transit lounge or somewhere where she will be safe enough to have a sleep on a seat without having to try & get a room in a local hotel? Thanks in advance.

She can stay inside Terminal 3 . If she is a business/1st class traveler she can take advantage of Delta Business Lounge(next to gate 6).
