John F. Kennedy International Airport is an international airport located in Jamaica, Queens, southeast of New York City.

History - Construction of the airport began in 1942 with modest ambitions. Only 1,000 acres (4 km²) of land on the site of Idlewild golf course were earmarked for use. The golf course provided the airport's original namesake, Idlewild Airport. First commercial flights began on July 1, 1948. The airport was formally dedicated as New York International Airport on July 31, 1948. It was re-dedicated on December 24, 1963 as John F. Kennedy International Airport, following action of the Mayor and Council of the City of New York, and a resolution of the Commissioners of the Port Authority. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

My mother is flying from SLC to CDG with a connection at JFK. She arrives in JFK on May 11 at 3:20 on Air France 8886 (operated by Delta, DL 94). Her next flight is Air France 23 and leaves JFK at 4:40. What terminals will she be arriving and departing from? Does she have enough time to connect? Will she have to exit and reenter security? Thank you.

She has just enough time. She will be arriving at Terminal 3 or Terminal 2. And she has to take Air France out if Terminal 1. She has to exit security(either at Terminal3 or Terminal 2) and re-enter it at Terminal 1.

I will be arriving from Miami at JFK thru AA at 230 pm. I think at T8.I only have carry on luggage I will be going to India on Air India. I think at T4 at 5 pm. Do I have enough time? Also do I have to go thru security? Where do I present my passport and check with Air India. Do I have to exit the terminal and then go to security?

You will be arriving at T8. As soon as you arrive head for the second floor and follow the signs for Airtrain. Take it on track 2 to terminal 4. If you have your boarding pass already go straight to the security checkpoint at T4(be careful - there are two of them depending on the side:A or B; your gate number on the pass should indicate that). If you don't have boarding pass proceed to the forth floor at T4 and obtain one from Air India check-in counter. You have plenty of time to do all that.

HELLO; IS THERE ENOUGH TIME TO GET FROM T8 FROM AA1530 FLIGHT LANDING 4PM ,TO T4 DELTA FLIGHT 4017 DEPARTING 5.21PM ?

It is kind of tight - 4pm is a peak time for T8 and JFK; hopefully your AA flight is not late. Take Airtrain on the second floor of T8 on track 2 and get off at T4.

I have a plane from Istanbul to NY JFK Airport T1 and then a connection to Rochester with JetBlue Airways.How can I get to T6 after I come out from the customs?I will be landing to JFK at 14:45 and my connection flight is at 18:11. Would there be enough time for me to get to T6 and to check-in my luggage?

You have plenty of time to transfer. Go to the third floor at T1 and take ANY train on ANY track. T5 is three stops away.

T5 is open and Jet Blue is operating out of it.
