Hi!
Can you please tell me who to contact in case of a bag with documents lost in the airport?

Look at Lost and Found section in this website.

I have a DFW to Istnabul on Wednesday. We will be connecting at JFK from our American Airlines at Terminal 8 and departing Turkish Airlines at Terminal 1. We only have 1 hr 20 min for the connection...is this enough time for customs and what is the best way to get from Terminal 8 to Terminal 1?

The time is just enough for you(hopefully your AA flight is not late). You do not go through customs when you fly out international. As soon as you land at T8 go to the second floor and find Airtrain station. Take any train only on track 2 to Terminal 1 - it takes no more that 10 minutes to get there.

I have a 12 hour overlay at JFK between Trinidad and Switzerland - is there a place I can check bags early or store baggage? Once I do this what is the best/cheapest way into the city shopping district?

Thanks KT

I doubt it that the airline will let you check your bags that early.
You can store your bags at Terminal 4 luggage storage(paid) , located on the first floor(next to the Hotel Reservation Desk).
The cheapest way to go to the city is by Airtrain+subway:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to 42nd street stop/Times Square.Cost of the ride - $7.25/person.

Awesome Advice Thanks!

Hi there,
We're traveling from Canada to Peru and have an 8 hr, 45 min layover in JFK. Is it possible for us to leave the airport during our layover to tour NYC when we have checked luggage?
Thanks.

Yes, it is.

I'm arriving to JFK from Tokyo tomorrow with a lot of luggage. Can I get a cart after I pick up my bags and how much does it cost? Do I need to have quarters for the machine?

You can get a cart - there are vending machines located next to the baggage belts. It costs $5(nonrefundable) and you can pay either with dollar bills or credit card.

What's the best way to get from White Plains, Train sta
to JFK by train/subway.

Take Metro-North train to Grand Central and then subway line 6 direction uptown for one stop to 51st street station. Then take subway E towards Jamaica and get off at Sutphin Blvd stop. There take Airtrain to JFK Terminals.
